It was mid-May. I knew Father’s Day was coming soon and I needed cards. But ideas were not coming as quickly as I would have liked. Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! A cute little box appeared at my door and it was just what I needed. Enough supplies to make Father’s Day cards for my husband, Dad, step-Dad, and Father-in-law. Plus a couple of mini cards leftover. And of course, I get to add the stamps and ink to my stash. I’ve never splurged on a Father’s Day stamp – so this is a nice addition to my collection. (Hint: if you don’t have one either, try doing something with the letters D – A – D from any alpha stamp set you own.)
I did add some ink to the edges that was not included in this kit. Brown on the card base and neutral banners, and Wild Wasabi on the green banner. A Marina Mist Ink Spot was included. The striped stamp on the envelope is from the Gorgeous Grunge Set, and was inked with markers.
I have to admit that when I first signed up for Paper Pumpkin I wasn’t sure how well I would like it. It’s advertised as a fun surprise. I usually like to know what I’m spending money on before I spend it. But, I do love paper crafts and Stampin’ Up! products! So, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that I have been quite happy with the 2 kits I’ve received so far. Such cute stuff, and everything is ready to go for me. Card pieces are pre cut. Instructions and supplies are included. Just about all you need to add is adhesive. It really did feel like the little mini-escape it is advertised as. It even comes packed as a lovely gift…
