So, after die cutting several of my scraps, I had to make a card. I had seen a great card on Pinterest that used a black base, and black leaves, with a bold watercolor background (below). It encouraged me to think outside of the box regarding the color of die cut leaves. I decided to give black leaves a try. I liked the result…
Almost all of the pieces for this card came out of my scrap box. For that reason I can’t be sure of the colors, but I think they are: Garden Green, non-SU yellow (looks like Crushed Curry), Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Certainly Celery (close to Pear Pizzazz).
The Little Leaves Die is retired.
The Frame stamp is from the Four Frames set and is punched with the Decorative Label Punch. The circle is 2 inches (from Fiskars).
The inspiration for using black is here: http://www.stampingwithloll.com/2014/04/happy-watercolored-birthday.html
