I covered the Epic Day This and That Journal as a gift for a friend using the Epic Day Designer Paper that is retiring this week. I love this paper! I am so sorry to see it go that I bought an extra couple of packs to hoard. I can hardly make anything without inking the edges. Here I added Pool Party and basic gray to the edges of the front cover. I also stamped a few spots from the Gorgeous Grunge Set. The car, balloon, and bicycle are from the retiring Hostess Set: Postage Collection. You’ll also see here: a Calypso Coral banner cut by hand, and pierced around the edges. A Wild Wasabi piece punched with the Scallop Border Punch. A chevron element punched on one end with the Decorative Label Punch. A yellow medallion made using a scallop punch – a little trick learned here:[embed]http://www.stampinpretty.com/2008/03/scallop-goes-me.html[/embed]).
The page tabs were made with the Decorative Label punch. I scored it down the middle, folded it in half, then used scissors to straighten the edges by removing the point that was in the middle of the original punched shape. I used 2 way glue to adhere them to the pages. The back and inside of the cover was also covered with Epic Day Paper. I inked the edges, and stamped some of the grunge stamps on the back cover. Then I took some of my scraps and punched extra circles and banners and included them in the pocket in the back of the journal.
